Material Spotlight: Walnut

Walnut brings warmth without heaviness. Its chocolate heartwood, lighter sapwood and flowing grain suit both sculptural forms and quiet architectural joinery.

We favour low-sheen finishes that keep the timber tactile and allow it to age naturally. Direct sun should be moderated, especially across only part of a surface.

Dust with a soft dry cloth and use a slightly damp cloth only when necessary. Avoid silicone polishes and abrasive cleaners.
